Formation & Geological History
Formed as a natural colorless Topaz in pegmatites and high-temperature quartz veins. The rainbow finish is an anthropogenic process where a thin layer of titanium (CVD coating) is applied to the pavilion of a natural stone.

Primarily used in jewelry such as rings, pendants, and earrings due to its vibrant, unique color play and high hardness.
Geological Facts
Mystic Topaz is not a naturally occurring color; it was first introduced at the Hong Kong Jewelry Fair in 1998. It is sometimes called Rainbow Topaz or Caribbean Topaz.
Field Identification & Locations
Identify by its unique iridescent rainbow metallic sheen that changes with the angle of light. Unlike Lab-grown stones, the base material is genuine natural topaz, which can be verified by its high hardness and density.
