Geological Facts
This collection includes Amethyst (purple quartz), Rose Quartz (pink), Tiger's Eye, Aventurine (green), and Granite. Some stones appear to be 'craft store' tumbled stones mixed with natural river rock and a piece of fossiliferous limestone or coquina.
Field Identification & Locations
Identify by checking hardness (quartz will scratch glass) and looking for distinct colors. Common in glacial till, riverbeds, and as commercially sold decorative mixes.
