Identified by its waxy-to-glassy luster, translucent honey to orange color, and shell-like (conchoidal) fracture pattern. Commonly found along stream beds, gravel bars, and volcanic terrains in regions such as Brazil, India, Madagascar, and the Pacific Northwest, USA.
