Field identification & locations
Identified by the distinct sugary texture of pale olive-green olivine or epidote crystals embedded within a white feldspathic/quartzose groundmass. Look for greenish vitreous inclusions. Commonly found in basaltic flows, peridotite deposits, or metamorphic skarns.
