Geological facts
Despite being commonly called 'Jasper', it is not actually a microcrystalline quartz. The striking yellow and orange colors come from sulfur and arsenic-bearing minerals like realgar and orpiment, which means raw specimens should be handled with care.

Easily identified in hand specimens by its distinct, bold yellow and black bumblebee-like color patterns. Found exclusively in Indonesia associated with volcanic vents.
